We are seeking a MUSICAL DIRECTOR, to start from SEPTEMBER 2012.
Our Society, now 26 years old, is a non-audition, mixed-ability SATB choir of about 40 and our members are friendly and welcoming and enjoy their music. We want to continue to improve, work hard and support our Musical Director in achieving our shared aspirations, while having fun and enjoying our hobby. We have lost singers over the last few years and are keen to grow again and attract new members. Accordingly, we are seeking an experienced, gifted, enthusiastic and creative musical director who will help us accomplish this, with the help of our talented accompanist. The remuneration for this post will be negotiable for the right applicant.
We rehearse on a Monday evening at Clevedon Methodist Church, from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm, from the beginning of September until around the end of April. We perform two concerts a year, and have sung a mixture of traditional choral works, but are open to a wider variety of music.
